Founded in 1990 by the celebrated conductor, Jean Stanley Jones MBE, Cantorion Sirenian Singers are a choir of some 50 voices based in North East Wales.
Achieving international recognition on the competitive and concert platforms, they are recognised for their unique sound, excellent technique and breadth of repertoire, achieving particular recognition for their promotion of Contemporary Welsh music.
Christmas truly begins this Saturday at All Saints Church, Gresford, when the Sirenian Singers give their annual Christmas concert. The concert begins at 7 o’ clock and proceeds will go to the church fund.
With a wide range of music from Mendelssohn to William Mathias, there is plenty of festive cheer to be savoured. The choir will be supported by Ysgol Bod Hyfryd’s Choir and the wonderful flautist Charlotte Thomas. The programme includes classical music, traditional hymns and several popular Christmas classics. Seasonal refreshments will be available and there will be ample chance for the audience to join in with the carolling as they kick off the season of good will in the stunning setting of All Saints’ Church, Gresford.
The whole choir are looking forward to this concert and wish all our supporters throughout the year a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda ac Iach i chi gyd!

One real treat is the choir’s performance of John Rutter’s magnificent ‘Gloria’ from our 2013 Gala Concert at St Giles’ Church, Wrexham.
Keep an eye out for some preview festive treats in the coming weeks.
Even More Nostalgia
As part of our efforts to improve our website, we are adding more and more content to the Archive section. Click here to see our Archive Photo Album where you will find an array of photographs from our concerts and tours. Many thanks to Jane Slawson for being the first to contribute. Don't forget to keep visiting the page as we will be adding to it over the next weeks and months. Here's an example of the wonderful images we have to bring back fond memories to our choristers (past and present) and all the fantastic friends of the choir.
